In addition, CIS continues to grow and expand, while maintaining its unique identity and ownership for over twenty years, in a time of downsizing and mergers within the public safety software industry.
CIS has been providing Solutions for twenty-two(22) years to over 550 public safety agencies across the United States. CIS maintains the System as off-the-shelf, while the individual agency enjoys "their system" that is customized to their operation by tables and switches. Specific programs provide for each state's unique crime reporting and NCIC access. CIS' on-going enhancement program adds functionality, features and new modules. Many agency requests are generally usable by other agencies, and these are added to the Systems over time by CIS. CIS internally funds these enhancement programs. In addition, the programs are kept current with the latest Microsoft releases.
